Booking
No — you can get a full quote and complete a booking as a guest. We'll ask for your email address at checkout to send your confirmation. Creating an account lets you track your booking and view history.
You can book up to 5 months in advance. Drivers keep their availability calendars up to date so you'll only see drivers who are free on your chosen date.
Minor changes (such as access notes or contact details) can be made via the platform. For date or address changes, please contact our support team as soon as possible on 0800 123 4567.
You can cancel via your account up to the day before the move. Refund timelines depend on payment method: card refunds typically arrive within 3–5 working days. Late cancellations (within 24 hours) may incur a fee — please see our Terms & Conditions.
Payment
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe, and UK bank transfer. Bank transfers are reconciled manually — your booking will be confirmed within 1 working day of payment receipt.
The driver is paid after both parties have confirmed the job is complete. Payment is never released automatically before completion, protecting both customers and drivers.
MoveAround charges a 35% service fee on the driver's rate. This is included in all quotes and covers payment handling, driver vetting, platform maintenance, and 7-day customer support.
Yes. All card payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. MoveAround never stores your card details.
On the Day
If your driver misses the job, we immediately search for a replacement. If no replacement can be found in time, you'll receive a full refund and our team will contact you to resolve the situation personally.
Additional time is charged at the driver's overtime rate, which is shown in their profile before you book. You'll never be surprised by a charge — the driver should discuss any overrun with you before it occurs.
Yes — select 'Packing Assistance' on the quote form and drivers who offer this service will appear in your results.
For Drivers
Click Apply to Drive and create a driver account. You'll need to upload your driving licence, vehicle insurance, MOT certificate, and proof of right to work in the UK. Applications are reviewed within 1–2 working days.
You set your own rates. After the 35% platform fee, drivers typically earn 65% of the booking value. You can configure weekday, weekend, public holiday, and out-of-hours rates independently.
After job completion is confirmed, your payment is approved for release. Back-office staff then process the transfer to your registered bank account or Stripe Connect account.
